SEO PowerSuite Review 2022: Features, Pricing, And More Details

SEO PowerSuite Review

In this article, I will be going through the different parts that I don’t like as well as those that I liked about SEO Powersuite. Now, I will say that for the value and for the price of the tool you’re going to get the most bang for your buck, the reason why is because you can get a lot of different tools but they are all usually very good at doing a certain task.

What is SEO PowerSuite?

SEO PowerSuite includes 4 tools to help you optimize your website, improve the content, run backlink campaigns, and track your progress.

These tools include:

  1. Rank Tracker: For researching keywords and Analyzing competitors and tracking rankings

  2. WebSite Auditor: to crawl and optimize site structure and improve on-page optimization

  3. SEO SpyGlass: To analyze and discover website backlinks

  4. LinkAssistant: Is a service that helps you run outreach and link-building campaigns

SEO PowerSuite is a cross-platform, multi-lingual software.

SEO PowerSuite Features

1. Change Agent

Out of all the tools in SEO PowerSuite, I will be diving into their Rank Tracker tool first. The first thing that you will see is when you go into the tool you can enter your website domain, in my case I entered it in chasereiner.com.

After typing in the domain, the tool will show you all the different keywords that the website is ranking for, or the keywords that it finds.

This is pretty cool because you’re actually going to be able to see your own keywords as well as your competitor’s keywords and get an idea of what you’re ranking for if you click on “Ranking Summary” they give you this visibility graph.

This graph, will show you what their estimated distribution is from Google, Yahoo, and other search engines you are getting traffic from. The tool will also show you a visibility score based on how many running you have and what position you are in for those rankings.

2. Keyword Map

SEO PowerSuite’s Keyword Map is pretty cool too, this is where you would actually be able to map out your keywords and what that means is that you can actually gauge which keyword you are ranking for on what page.

However, I will say that it doesn’t really make sense to me why you would map your keywords in the rank tracker, you’re actually probably better off mapping your keywords in the SEO Audit tool, I will show you why as we move forward with the review.

Mapping out your keywords is very important because you do want to figure out whether or not you have pages for your keywords.

If you don't have pages then you build those pages for those keywords and if you do, then you just try to optimize these things further up. You have different things like; “Update Keyword Difficulty”, then they have their own keyword difficulty metrics.

3. PPC and Rank Analysis

These features are just different sorting for when you want to do keyword research for pay-per-click or if you wanted to see ranking analysis on what their visibility tools are again on keyword research.

4. Keyword Gap

I mentioned that there are so many different features on this software that aren’t really necessary but I want to go through the ones that I think are really useful.

One of the things that I wanted to go through is the Keyword Gap.

What the Keyword Gap does is it allows you to see what keywords are on your competitors’ websites that are not on yours and which ones are present on both.

For example, we’ll type in “Semrush”, and press search, the tool will now go and find all the different keywords that they’re ranking for and then show what positions they’re in for them.

The reason why this is so valuable is that generally, Google wants to rank websites that are ranking for similar things that other websites with similar authority are ranking for.

If we go and look for any website and want to see common keywords that any competitor has but you don’t, we can check the top 50, this will lead us to see the rankings and see whether we’re in the rankings or not.

The tool actually lets us create a new keyword group and start tracking keywords that we want to go for and from here choose which ones we want.

This feature is going to give you a lot of really good ideas on how you can compete with the people that are doing well in your industry, it’s already proven too that they’re going to work well or that those keywords are good keywords because if you’re going for those keywords and you know they’re getting traffic, and they’re able to rank for them then you know that is a good thing.

5. Keyword Sandbox

What this feature does is categorize different keywords which you can easily click through and see which keywords are around link building, PPC, and search engine optimization. This categorization is going to help you to come up with ways to know which keywords to target and which keywords you should follow up with.

If you go to the search console feature, you can connect your account, and again, I don't think you have to have a paid account for this, I think you can actually do this for free just to try it out and I believe they will import your data from Google Search Console as well as Google Analytics.

They’ll show you a quicker version of your data than what you would normally get. It will also show you the number of impressions and click-through rates that you’re getting. The reason why this is impressive is that with Google Search Console, it takes a really long time to navigate.

With SEO PowerSuite, it’s a lot less complicated, you can actually track your keywords from Google Search Console which is nice because it’s really hard to constantly track your keywords here unless you’re using some sort of spreadsheet.

I really like how you can connect your Google Search Console and connect your keywords as well and obviously, they have the Google Keyword Planner so you can go and look up keywords as you want.

6. SERP Analysis

This feature is really cool, it is comparable to Surfer if you are familiar with that tool.

What you can do is type in a keyword and it will show you who is ranking and what their authority is for their different websites. You can see keyword difficulty and their measurement.

You will see your different websites listed down with how many links, estimated traffic, keywords that are showing up, and all the good stuff. You’ll actually see who you are up against and the actual strength of their different pages.

What you can do is measure top pages and the traffic that these users are going for or ranking for?

If you type your website url, the tool will show you who the competitors are for your specificities and if you toggle them, it will show you what keywords you have that are intersecting with their keywords.

7. Reports

This tab is if you want to send off a report to a client of the different keywords that are going to that and the website’s ranking.

If you also wanted to see what your competition has and the overall reporting data that you need to send off. You can also utilize this tool if you want to try and get clients by showing them what they’re ranking for and what areas they need to be working on.

Once the tool is done with your audit, you will see the following data listed for your website’s audit summary:

  • Number of issues found

  • Errors

  • Warnings

  • Info

  • Pages

  • Date of the audit

The different sections of the audit summary are as follows:

  • Indexing and crawlability

  • Redirects

  • Encoding and technical factors

  • URLs

  • Links

  • On-Page

  • Page Speed

  • Localization

I really like this since you can actually automate these. I’ve found out that when you’re in the section, you can actually click on schedule tasks and alerts and automate these reports to go out every month, which I think is really convenient because you could just keep sending them to your clients.

8. Visualization

There’s also a visualization feature here which is really cool.

What that means is that you can see how the internal linking structure looks and you can actually click on the different pages and it will show you where these are actually linking to and you can get an idea of which pages are the most valuable based on the number of internal links pointing to those pages.

One more thing is that you can go to the different individual pages and it will show you what the issues are.

9. All Resources

If we head on to the All Resources tab, it will show everything that is being linked to from the website HTML pages, images, javascript, etc.

10. Page Audit

On-Page Audit will give you an individual page audit, it is like a mini version of Surfer except this will be a lot less comprehensive, which can be very helpful if you are just planning on doing minor optimizations to a page.

To put things into perspective, you can put it on your website’s homepage or any page you want to rank, you can run the audit and it will show you what you would need to do.

For instance, are the keywords in the title, what’s the title length, are there multiple title tags with the same keywords, or if there are multiple title tags on that page.

11. Content Editor

If you are familiar with Surfer, this feature is very similar to it except what it does is it figures out what keywords you need to include in your content.

It basically gives you an idea of what actual words and phrases you need to add to that page to rank it higher.

The tool shows you what is being correlated with high rankings and this keyword and it does look like they are pulling the keywords from different pages basically figuring out what all these different pages are mentioning and putting it into an average so you can see which words are being mentioned for how many.

12. Website Auditor

If you’re familiar with any of the audit tools that I have mentioned before like Screaming Frog, Shine Ranker, Semrush, or Ahrefs, you will see that you get a very similar layout.

The cool thing about desktop software is that it is a little bit more convenient when it comes to dragging stuff around. With web-based software, it’s kind of complicated to navigate the UX whereas desktop applications usually respond a little bit quicker.

When you get to the Website Auditor tab, you can see all the different pages, the titles, status codes, click depth, word counts, etc. Initially, I perceived this as kind of frail because we only get to see a few tabs and we have to actually click through the different tabs on top of the page.

One more thing to note is that there is a column button where you can actually add more tabs to your liking. If you click on “Redirect URL” or “H1 Count”, those will be added. However, if you have too many tabs, it has a tendency to break the UX. This UX problem might be solved if you export the data and lay it all out on an Excel sheet.

In terms of the layout problem, certain tools like Screaming Frog does have a small advantage. The website looks like there might be more columns than you would get with other tools, which you can look at as a benefit.

SEO PowerSuite Pricing

SEO PowerSuite pricing is broken down into three types:

Free Plan

You can download the free version and use it with restrictions.

It can be used to run keyword research and websites. However, you cannot save or export the data to a spreadsheet. Copy and paste are disabled.

This plan can be used to quickly gather information about a keyword or website. You can also test the tool before you decide to sign up for one of the paid plans.

Professional Plan

The Professional plan (299/year) is ideal for those who manage multiple websites with the software's extensive and rich features. They can now save up to 20 projects on their local drive, or in the cloud using the SEO PowerSuite.

You can copy and paste data to your spreadsheet, so you can access them from outside the tool.

Enterprise Plan

The Enterprise plan is $499/year and is perfect for agencies or freelancers who manage multiple client sites simultaneously.

It offers the same features as the Professional plan. The Enterprise plan is unique because it allows you to export data in various file formats.

You can also export PDF reports to clients regarding keyword rankings and link profiles for their client sites. This allows clients to update their clients more easily than manually creating reports.

SEO PowerSuite Pros And Cons

Here are some pros and cons of SEO PowerSuite:

SEO PowerSuite Pros

  • It is a powerful package of SEO tools that combines tools for creating backlinks with audit sites to maximize site optimization results

  • SEO PowerSuite also includes powerful features that will make your seo efforts easier

  • The Rank Tracker and Site Auditor are the most likable tools in SEO PowerSuite because they provide accurate rank reports and correct results

  • The site-auditor does more than just look great. Click a button to get a detailed look at your technical SEO.

SEO PowerSuite Cons

  • Although they claim it's because the algorithms don't change, I believe that the software was designed to cease working and force users to pay $30 per month to continue using it.

  • It's very frustrating. It is essential that the app is installed.

  • They openly stole from me and refused to return any money

  • The only problem is that custom reports can't be downloaded unless you have the enterprise edition. This was not something I was told and I now have to purchase it again. I don't like doing this.

Final Thoughts

You can probably see from what we’ve covered so far how much value you are able to get. I think that it’s about a couple of hundred bucks for each of these tools.

For such an affordable price compared to what you would be paying monthly for a tool that would probably only do half as much. But then again, with all of these things, it can get a bit overwhelming, and not all of the features in these tools are absolutely necessary.
