What’s up there, SEO pros? Today, we’re going to be covering how to do Local Link Building.

So, you have a local website but you don’t have any links to it besides your citations. That’s understandable because it is a lot harder to build links locally than it is nationally. But that doesn’t mean you can’t build links on a national level and help your local rankings. One of the best ways to start building links to a local site is to actually build content for a national audience and then build links to that national keyword targeting and then use those pages that are targeting national to Internet link to your other local pages.

Now, if you’re only going for local links, what you can actually do is look for other people who are on a local level, plug them into a tool like Ahres or Backlink Watch if you want to go to free route which doesn’t give you as much information and download their links and outreach to the people that are linking to these other local sites. The cool thing is that you don’t have to only look for your competitors’ links. You can look for links that are for pretty much anybody in your city. Now, if the industries doesn’t make any sense that would be linking to you like for instance, a nail swan owning to for instance, U, which is an SEO company, might not make any sense but if it’s something like a computer repair shop or something that might be more type related, it’s probably a good idea to go and grab that link.

You could go for something like anybody is looking into iPhone Repair Company, to a computer repair company and so on and so on. Because then, that’s sort of in a type based industry. So, those are the some other ways that you can quickly start going out and finding links. If you want to automate your outreach as well, you can use something like NinjaOutreach or pitchbox and upload those links and then have the email pulled from the links and so that you can automatically outreach these people; I have tutorials for this in the Triforcing course on how you can actually go and do that.

I’d love to hear what you guys would do for local links, perhaps it’s a meetup, perhaps it’s an expert roundup, let me know what you think in the comments and until I see you guys next time, happy SEOing!
